Tony Stanton of Sunset Trails all started in Los Angeles, CA by Michael Srour in the 1920’s. Mike’s brother-in-law, Joe Stanton, joined in the early 1940’s. The Srour Co. was renamed the H.S. Means Co. in the late 1940’s upon Mike Srour’s retirement. Current, Sunset Trails owner Bob Stanton acquired the H.S. Means Co. in 1951 and renamed it Sunset Trails. Sunset Trails purchased the McCabe Company in 1960. Today the company is recognized as one of the premiere buckle manufacturing companies whose buckles can be found in fine western stores nationwide. Current generation Tony, John and Todd Stanton are all active in the family business.
